Ron Brown

Ron Brown, TFA’s chairman, has served on our Board for 22 years and is undoubtedly one of the most respected individuals in the repossession industry. He is president of CSI Group in Oklahoma City as well as president of the National Association of Fraud Investigators. A respected author, he co-wrote “Manhunt: The Book”, and writes a monthly column in Collection Advisor Magazine. Ron is a special trainer for ACA International (winning “Instructor of the Year” in 2002, 2004, and 2009), and provides specialized training to law enforcement agencies; including the US Marshalls Service, U.S. Customs, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and the Texas Rangers. He is also one of the most sought-after “expert witnesses” in the industry and has provided expert testimony in innumerable high-profile legal cases involving repossessions. Additionally, Ron is considered the industry expert on the FDCPA, HIPAA, and the Graham-Leach-Blily Act.

Millard Land

Millard Land has served TFA for nearly four decades and is TFA's Grievance Chairman. His unique ability to communicate with and resolve debates between a variety of parties makes him well suited for the position. Millard brings a wealth of experience in finding, recovering, and remarketing collateral to TFA. Always the advocate for recovery company owners and TFA members, Millard has authored countless articles and publications over the past 40 years.

Robert Winther

Rob Winther has been in the repossession industry for 26 years, 21 years as a TFA Board member. Rob had extensive previous experience in shipping and logistics for a major grocery chain. Rob came to work for Falcon-West in 1985. In the last 2 decades, Rob has focused on working with area credit unions, familiarizing himself with the credit unions’ unique relationships with their members as they become part of the repossession process.

David Thornton

Tri-State Recovery, Inc
Fayetteville, Arkansas

David Thornton joined TFA in 1981 and became a board member in 1983. David began repossessing cars when he was 16 years old, working with his father’s agency. He took a short break as a collector for a bank while in college, but returned to the industry after graduation. David is accomplished in all phases of the process, field work, skip tracing, locksmithing, customer relations, and office management.

Ray Crocker

American Locators & Recovery, Inc
Nashville, Tennessee

Ray Crocker is one of the most respected and experienced professionals in the repossession industry. He was the founder of RSIG, and later PRIME INC, providing specialized insurance coverage for repossessors. Formally employed by Ford Motor Credit, CIT, and Commercial Credit, he has extensive experience in backend collections. He is a licensed private investigator in Tennessee. Ray has published articles in Professional Repossessors Magazine, and World of Special Finance Magazine, and was featured in an article in the American Spectator. He has been a TFA member for over 12 years, and a board member for 9.

Max Pineiro

Elite Collateral Recovery
Elizabeth, New Jersey

Max owns Elite Collateral Recovery. He has been involved in the repossession business for 27 years, and a TFA member for 15. A TFA Board member for 7, Max owns and operates offices in both New Jersey and in Florida. Formerly a law enforcement officer in northern New Jersey, Max is currently is a licensed NJ Private Investigator and a court-designated expert witness for the repossession industry. He is also an avid private pilot. He has been an early adopter of cutting-edge technology like ALPR cameras, online management systems, and other creative tools for advancing the industry. Max also owns a successful security surveillance business in New Jersey.

Kevin Vittitow

Kentucky Auto Recovery
Louisville, Kentucky

Kevin Vittitow has worked in the recovery industry for 20 years. Kentucky Auto Recovery Services has been part of TFA since the early 1980's. Kevin has worked as a instructor for law enforcement, local credit unions and various other lenders over the last 10 years. He has also attended over 18 TFA Conferences, and is a graduate of the Manhunt Seminar. Kevin has served on the TFA Board since 2011, and has also served on the local International Credit Association Board for 4 years.

Chris Dodson

Texas Hide & Seek, Inc.
Dallas, Texas

Chris Dodson is a licensed Private Investigator in the state of Texas, and has skip traced accounts on a national level for two of the largest skip tracing firms in the country. Chris co-owns Texas Hide & Seek, Inc., in Dallas, Tx where he oversees operations. He has over a decade of field experience and countless field recoveries to his credit. A recipient of the prestigious Time Finance Adjusters award, “Going Above and Beyond”, Chris is a shining example of the young, forward-thinking, repossession professionals active in TFA.

Peggy Chapman

In 1978, Peggy became the first female outside investigator for GMAC. In 1980 Peggy began working in the recovery industry as an agency manager, later forming Speedy Recovery, and becoming a TFA member in 1994. With a background in insurance and finance, Peggy's insights enhance the board's focus on service to those industries.

Tim Koskovics

USA Meridian Int'l Corp
Youngstown, Ohio

Tim Koskovics is a former collection officer with Bank One in Ohio. Working closely with industry professionals for many years, Tim formed USA Meridian International, joining TFA in 1986. Besides his years in the collection industry, Tim has developed an extensive knowledge of locksmithing, transportation, and field investigations. Tim has been a board member since 2011 and recipient of the prestigious Time Finance Adjusters award, “Going Above and Beyond”.
