Providing the customer service that has built our trade association into the international organization it is today, the TFA staff works tirelessly to help vendors, clients and members day-in and day-out. Nicki Altes Merthe

A graduate of the famed Ringling School of Art in 1974 (majoring in Advertising Design), Nicki immediately went to work for Time Finance Adjusters. She pioneered the concept of changing simple listings into display advertisements, helping the members better demonstrate their coverage area or other unique capabilities. She became President in 1985 taking over from Harvey Altes. Besides executive responsibilities, she also does the complete design and prepress desktop publishing of the TFA Official Guide.

Harvey Altes

Harvey is our founding member and responsible for TFA's rebirth in 1971. He is still a regular fixture at our headquarters, where he offers advice and guidance on industry related topics.

William Arington

William has a long history in the advertising and publishing business. Formerly working in the art department of the Daytona Beach News-Journal, William came to work at TFA in 1997. Currently in charge of circulation management, he is also well versed in graphic art and business administration.

Todd Squires

Todd graduated from the University of Florida in 2003, majoring in Business Management with a minor in International Economics. Has worked for TFA since 2005, and is the founder of TFA’s key code business.

Patrick Altes

Patrick Altes has worked in the automobile recovery since 1973, and has been a Florida state licensed private investigator since 1980. Patrick has supervised over 1,000 automobile reposessions outside the United States, including recoveries in Mexico, Iceland, Italy, Korea, Panama, Guam, Samoa, Scotland, and many others. He has served on an as-needed basis for the TFA Board of Directors since 1992. He also is in charge of communications to TFA members in the form of regular online E-zines which keep members up to date on the latest news and legal issues relating to the repossession industry.
